A Wicked Happy Birthday!

Monday, May 15 is the anniversary date of Chicago author L. Frank Baum’s birthday. Mr. Baum, was born 150 years ago and is credited with writing The Wizard of Oz, the original inspiration for todays mega-hit musical production Wicked. Elphaba, the young teen-aged green witch, was named to honor L. FrAnk BAum. Above, the cast of Wicked in Chicago took time to celebrate the event after Sunday’s matinee.

Chicago’s record-breaking production of WICKED continues its open-ended run at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre.

Tickets range in price from $25 to $85 and are currently on sale at all Broadway In Chicago Box Offices, the Broadway In Chicago Ticket Line at (312) 902-1400, and at Ticketmaster and ticketmaster.com.
